Series Of Attempted Robberies, Carjackings In Plymouth Township: Cops

Two teenagers have been arrested after the string of crimes, and the investigation remains ongoing.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Multiple armed robberies and carjackings have occurred in Plymouth Township within the past several days, and two teenagers have been arrested, police said Tuesday afternoon.

The incidents occurred between Wednesday, Aug. 21 and Saturday, Aug. 24.

The first was an attempted armed robbery of a car. The second instance was an attempted robbery and carjacking of a "high end vehicle," and the third was an attempted theft of a vehicle, police said.

Two teenagers, both under 18, were arrested in connection with one of the incidents, though police have declined to specify which one. The individuals have also not been publicly identified due to their age. Both had outstanding warrants for robbery and motor vehicle theft.

In the other two instances, the suspects fled from police on foot and in vehicles. The investigation is ongoing, and it's believed additional arrests could be made.

All crimes occurred along Ridge Pike, Butler Pike, North Lane, and the areas between, according to authorities.

There was also a string of attempted thefts from parked vehicles.

Police urged residents to remain vigilant and to lock their vehicles when unattended.
