Teenager Identified As Fatal Victim Of Montco Crash
A stolen car crashed into an SUV in Montgomery County early Monday, killing a 15-year-old boy. Police are seeking witnesses.
SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The fatal victim of the Montgomery County crash early Monday morning that also injured several others has been identified as a teenager.
The incident occurred in the Wyndmoor section of Springfield Township at 4:51 a.m., at the intersection of Stenton Avenue and E. Evergreen Avenue.
A stolen red Hyundai Elantra ran a red light and crashed into a white Infinity QX80, which had the green and the right of way, police said.

The victim, a 15-year-old boy, was ejected from Hyundai and pronounced dead at the scene.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged, and at least three other individuals were seriously injured, according to authorities. Two of the victims were trapped inside the Hyundai and had to be extricated. They were then taken to Jefferson Einstein Medical Center, while the passenger in the other vehicle was taken to Jefferson Abington Hospital.
No criminal charges have yet been announced.
The Hyundai had been reported stolen in Philadelphia on July 27.
