This March, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School is Going Green

The Ecofest is coming.

For the second straight year, is trading in its red and blue for green.

On March 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the school—in conjunction with Whole Foods, The Fellowship of Conshohocken, and Plymouth and Whitemarsh townships—will host an in its gym, with an eye on giving area families tips on environmentally friendly living.

“It was brought to fruition last year,” said program director Brianna Muller. “It’s really an effort to educate the community on how to ‘green’ their own lives—whether through recycling or through patronizing companies who are green.”

To that end, Muller said several eco-conscious area vendors will be on hand to ply their wares and share with visitors how they’ve reduced their carbon footprints.

Representatives from Renewal by Anderson will be there—and will be raffling off a free $10,000 window makeover—and will be joined by reps from Newtown Square compostable food product firm Why Not Bob, folks from the Impact Thrift Store chain, and other local businesses.
