Township Of Whitemarsh: 2021 Cop Camp Won't Be Held Due To COVID

The Whitemarsh Police Department’s Cop Camp will not take place this summer but is planning for a return in 2022.

The free, one-week camp for 10- and 11-year-olds is not being held this summer due to COVID-19 health and safety reasons. The camp encourages young people to respect the law, stand up to peer pressure and avoid the temptations they can face.

“Cop Camp is a highlight of our year,” said Whitemarsh Police Chief Christopher Ward. “Unfortunately, it would be all but impossible to follow health and safety guidance and still give the 30 participants the experiences that make Cop Camp so valuable. We can’t wait to have the kids back next year.”
