Township Of Whitemarsh: Police Urge Drivers To Be Extra Cautious As More Students Return To Schools

The Police Department reminds drivers to be extra cautious beginning Monday, April 12, as the Colonial School District welcomes students in all schools back for in-person instruction five days a week.

The change is expected to mean additional students on streets and at bus stops throughout the day. As in the fall when schools reopen, drivers should be on alert near schools, when driving near school buses and at all intersections. 

Motorists using Joshua Road near Flourtown Road and Whitemarsh Elementary School should plan for congestion in the area given the closure of Flourtown Road at Joshua Road and the potential for additional traffic near the school.
