Township Of Whitemarsh: Westaway Drive Stormwater Work To Begin

Work will start on or about this Monday on a new stormwater collection and conveyance system along Westaway Drive from Fields Drive to Germantown Pike.

During the course of the work, there will be times when parking will need to be prohibited along certain portions of Westaway Drive. No road closures are planned. There will, however, be times when a lane may be closed and flaggers will direct traffic around the closed portion. The work is expected to take about six months. 

There is currently no stormwater infrastructure in this area and the system will help collect stormwater originating on Germantown Pike and from an existing detention basin that currently discharges directly onto Fox Lane.
