'Training Exercise' Planned Tuesday In Fort Washington State Park
The urban search and rescue team and firefighters will be moving through the woods. Residents should not be alarmed.
PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Authorities will be conducting a drill in Fort Washington State Park on Tuesday as part of their ongoing operational preparedness.
The training will begin at 7 p.m. and will involve the Barren Hill Volunteer Fire Company and the Montgomery County Urban Search and Rescue Team. Crews will arrive to the park shortly before 7 p.m.
The exercise will impact the heart of the park east of Joshua Road and south of Militia Hill Road and Route 73.

"As the sun goes down, you may also see flashlights in the woods," Barren Hill Fire Chief Chris Schwartz said. "We are making this notification ahead of time so that our neighbors are aware of what may be deemed as suspicious activity in the park."
The drill will conclude by 10 p.m.
