UPDATE: Plymouth Schools Make '100 Best Elementary Schools' List

Two Plymouth schools made the list, and Montgomery County filled the top 10 of the list for the whole state.

Two Plymouth schools made a recent list of the best elementary schools in the state, according to a recent report.

Both Plymouth and Colonial made the list, ranking 80th and 88th, respectively.

In addition, 18 more Montgomery County elementary schools were ranked among the “Best Public Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania” by Niche.com, a website dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews.

The top 10, and 12 of the top 13, were all in Montgomery County.

The schools that were ranked include Gwynedd Square, Caley, Ridge Park, Shady Grove, Lower Gwynedd, Mattison, Radnor, Devon, Beaumont, Valley Forge, Hillside, New Eagle, Penn Valley, Merion, Cynwyd, Gladwyne, Belmont Hills and Penn Wynne.

The study ranked more than 40,000 elementary schools across the United States. The top 100 schools in Pennsylvania were ranked.

According to Niche.com, a high ranking indicates that “students are happy with their experiences in all aspects, especially academics, teachers, and diversity,” “the school is an exceptional academic institution in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes,” and “the school is made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture.”
