SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — A decision to incorporate 'Blue Lives Matter' symbology into the Springfield Township Police Benevolent Association symbol has stirred controversy in this eastern Montgomery County town, with opponents saying the move will cause division among residents while supporters say the PBA is a private entity and can do as it pleases.

The move to include the 'Blue Lives Matter' flag in the PBA's logo caused a heated debate at last week's meeting of the Springfield Township Board of Commissioners, according to an article on WHYY.
