WATCH: Police In Springfield Safely Capture Pregnant Mini-Horse Blocking Traffic

Errant Equine: a mini-horse was "about to give birth" when authorities safely captured the horse and brought it out of harm's way.

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Every day brings something new for the men and women in blue. And on Monday afternoon, that something new was a pregnant mini-horse trotting around the streets of Springfield, causing traffic to be backed up.

The mini-horse was "about to give birth" when authorities safely captured the horse and brought it out of harm's way.

The errant equine was trotting around Bethlehem Pike, meandering across the road and poking around the nearby neighborhoods.

Before she could get into too much trouble, police used "verbal commands" to corral her, and return her safely to her owners.
