1 Injured In Weekend Crash On 422
A two vehicle crash on Route 422 over the weekend left both damaged and injured one driver, police said.

NORTH COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A two vehicle crash on Route 422 over the weekend left both damaged and injured one driver, police said.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Dec. 15 at around 2:31 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Route 422, near milemarker 173.4.
Police said that both vehicles were traveling at high speeds in the right lane when the driver in the second vehicle became distracted, and did not see traffic slowing before him.

The second driver hit the brakes, leaving a skid mark for nearly 200 feet, authorities said. He then crashed into the first vehicle in front of him.
The driver of the first vehicle suffered some head and neck pain, but the injuries did not appear to be serious, police said. He was transported by ambulance to Goodwill Hospital, and his vehicle was driven from the scene.

The driver of the second vehicle was not injured but his vehicle was towed due to rear end damage that disabled his car. He was cited for careless driving.
