POTTSTOWN, PA — The coronavirus lockdowns have led to many of the area's favorite traditions being canceled or postponed indefinitely. For some events, however, it just means moving forward in a slightly different manner.

Such is the case for the Sly Fox Bock Festival and Goat Races, which has gone on for decades and will go on once again in 2020: online.

“Here at the brewery, goats, bock beers, and oompah music means spring has arrived,” Sly Fox sales manager Peter Giannopoulos said. And spring is indeed here.

This Sunday, May 17, the festival will be held online, replete with 25 "digital goats" who each have a custom backstory "that could give a hint to their racing abilities," according to the brewery.

Fans of the festival are encouraged to stock up on beers ahead of time. Sly Fox has freshly tapped an Instigator Dopplebock and Maibock in preparation for the occasion.
