NORTH COVENTRY, PA — Three suspects have been charged in the home invasion and killing of a 17-year-old boy who tried to protect the children in a North Coventry home last fall.

The incident occurred at night on Sept. 24, 2017 on the 700 block of Worth Boulevard.

Anaye Raggazino, 31, of Phoenixville, was described by police as a drug addict who wanted to rob the victim's father, David Doyle Jr. Raggazino told police Doyle was a drug dealer, and that he would have drugs and money in his home for them to take, according to a criminal complaint.

She recruited three men to help her in the robbery: Ricardo Rivera, 24, Jonathan Malave, 32, and an unidentified third suspect who has not yet been arrested.

The suspects contacted Doyle via Facebook, ostensibly to buy drugs, and Doyle provided his address and told them to come over.

Once they arrived at the home at around 11:26 p.m., Raggazino knocked on the door and was let in by Doyle's girlfriend. Raggazino later told police that the plan was for her to go in and get the drugs, and Rivera and the other suspect would follow her in shortly thereafter, per the criminal complaint.

Doyle was apparently so fast asleep, however, that Doyle's girlfriend and Raggazino were unable to wake him up. Raggazino then went and unlocked the front door and asked to use the bathroom.

That's when Rivera and the unknown man entered the home, police said, brandishing a gun and wearing masks. They ran from room to room, until they came to the victim, David Doyle III (the son of David Doyle Jr.), age 17, in the living room.

At that point, the younger Doyle leaped up. He was sleeping in the living room where three other children - aged 9, 8, and 3 - were also sleeping, according to police. The DA said that Doyle was trying to protect the children when he and Rivera began scuffling. Ultimately, River fired twice, and one shot hit Doyle in the chest, police said.

Rivera, Raggazino, and the third man fled the scene.

The suspects fled the scene. Doyle was transported to West Reading Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:11 a.m. the next morning.

The suspects face charges of second and third degree murder, criminal conspiracy, criminal homicide, robbery, and related counts. Rivera, Raggazino, and Malave have all been taken to Chester County Prison. Authorities are still investigating the incident and are seeking the third man.
