Chestnut Knoll is proud to recognize its 25-year partnership with St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown, whose volunteers have faithfully delivered worship services and Holy Communion to residents of its personal care and memory care community every Thursday.
The milestone was marked with a celebration at Chestnut Knoll, where staff and residents honored the group with cake.
“They faithfully go above and beyond to help our residents in whatever they need,” said Diane Heffner, resident life director at Chestnut Knoll.
Among the group’s most dedicated members is Virga Brown, who has been volunteering at Chestnut Knoll since its doors opened in 2000, making her one of the community’s longest-standing volunteer partners.
“It’s such a blessing to represent St. John’s at Chestnut Knoll! The residents have always been so happy that we’re here, and we’re just as happy to be here. Nothing fills my heart more than coming to Chestnut Knoll and spending time with these residents,” Brown said.
Chestnut Knoll extends its deepest gratitude to the volunteers of St. John’s for their unwavering commitment to the well-being and spiritual care of its residents.
