POTTSTOWN, PA — The tip that led to the hiding place of a Pottstown fatal stabbing suspect came in to authorities just 15 minutes after a $1,000 reward was posted, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.
Ryan Grace, 37, a homeless person living in the Pottstown area, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.
He's been charged with first degree murder. No bail is available on that charge and he was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 12.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, May 8 at the home of Shaquille Kareem Nicholas, 33, on the 300 block of Walnut Street.
Grace and Nicholas became involved in an argument in Nicholas's bedroom, culminating in Grace stabbing Nicholas, police said.
Nicholas was taken to Pottstown Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
