UPPER POTTSGROVE, PA — A county-led investigating continues this week after an officer-involved shooting in Upper Pottsgrove over the weekend.
The incident occurred at around 12:29 a.m. on Aug. 23 at a home on Snyder Road.
Police were called to the scene following reports of an attempted break-in.
Officers on scene saw a man, who has not been identified, behind the home, the DA said.
It's not yet exactly clear what happened next.
"An encounter ensued and police fired at the male subject, fatally striking the subject," the district attorney's office said.
The investigating is being led by the Montgomery County Detective Bureau. This occurs after every officer-involved shooting.
