The report explains common violations, notes that many were corrected immediately, and reminds diners how to check full inspection histories or report foodborne illness concerns.
• Ex-Upper Pottsgrove officer accused of manslaughter waives initial court hearing (pottsmerc.com subscription) — A former Upper Pottsgrove police corporal has waived his preliminary hearing on a voluntary manslaughter charge in the fatal shooting of 22-year-old college student Glenwood "Bubba" Pysher IV, moving the high-profile case toward trial in Montgomery County Court. Investigators say Pysher, who had been out at Pottstown and North Coventry bars before getting lost on foot, was unarmed with his hands raised when the officer fired.
