LOCAL LAW FIRM MOVES ACROSS TOWN

Pottstown, PA – August 23, 2012 – Wolf, Baldwin & Associates, P.C. announces their new office location at 800 East High Street in Pottstown.  The firm, founded by Jack F. Wolf, had been previously located on North Hanover Street since 1973.  The new building gives the firm approximately 50% more office space.

“We are pleased and excited to stay in Pottstown” said Mr. Wolf.  “We engaged in an extensive search throughout the surrounding area, but we remain committed to the Borough.  We completed a significant amount of work on the new building, and are proud that it has been restored to its former grandeur.”

The building was built in 1909 by Joshua Lessig as a home for himself and his new wife, Florence.  He was one of the original stockholders of Citizens National Bank as well as its president for a few years, and was an officer of the Pottstown Gas and Water Co.  After his passing, the home was occupied by his son, Brooke Montgomery Lessig, who resided there until his death in 1980.

The firm used The Whitegate Contracting Company, Inc., of Douglassville as general contractor for the project.  “We have enjoyed the opportunity to work on the recent, complete renovation of 800 East High Street, Pottstown,” said Christine Elliot of Whitegate.  “We appreciate being trusted with the task of bringing back to life this striking Spanish Mission building, a vital piece of Pottstown architecture.”

Mark Elliot, co-owner of Whitegate with Christine, added, “As general contractor for the project, Whitegate made every effort to do business with local suppliers and employ local trade contractors.  We particularly enjoyed an exceptional working relationship forged with both the Wolf family and their architect, Julia Metcalf, of Julia Metcalf Architecture & Interior Design LLC.  Christine and I would also like to thank our right-hand man, Tracey Pethel of Stowe for his excellent craftsmanship and assistance.”

“Working with both Whitegate and Julia has been a pleasure,” said Levi Wolf, who joined his father in practice in 1996.  “Julia is a fully licensed architect with 12 years of professional experience in both architecture & interior design.  She handled the aesthetic design of the interior space to create a warm and inviting, yet professional and functional workspace, as well as the tricky architectural aspects of making sure we were in full ADA and IBC compliance.”

“We are particularly proud to offer full handicap accessibility,” added Mr. Wolf. “We have a dedicated handicap spot in our private parking lot, a fully compliant ramp in the front of the building, wheelchair seating space in our waiting room and an ADA restroom.”

Shortly after the office relocation, the firm will be joined by Charles D. Garner, Jr., Esq., formerly of Garner and Bauer.  Mr. Garner brings with him an extensive Municipal, Real Estate and Zoning Law practice.
