Annual Meals on Wheels Fundraiser a Success!

On behalf of the staff, volunteers, Community Board, and especially the clients of Family Services’ Meals on Wheels program, I would like to thank the greater Pottstown community for their support of the Sixth Annual Meals on Wheels Fundraising Event featuring The Fabulous Greaseband on Saturday, October 28. We welcomed more than 425 energetic music fans to SunnyBrook Ballroom that night.

At the end of the night, we raised approximately $22,000 (net) for the program. These funds will help offset the cost of providing meals to seniors throughout Western Montgomery County. In 2016, we delivered more than 80,000 meals to approximately 380 area seniors who are at significant risk of malnutrition.

I would like to thank our generous event sponsors, Exelon/Limerick Generating Station and Pottstown Hospital – Tower Health, as well as the 40 area businesses that advertised in our event program.

Plans are underway for a repeat performance with The Fabulous Greaseband in October 2018. I hope you can join us!
