Annual Rummage Sale To Be Held Sunday, Monday
Pottstown's congregation Hesed Shel Emet invites the public to its annual Rummage Sale. Large crowd expected Sunday and Monday.
Looking for good quality used clothing or bed linens? How about kitchen glasses or shoes? You can find all of this and more at Congregation Hesed Shel Emet’s annual Rummage and Bake Sale.
Open Sunday, Oct. 25 from 10:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. and Monday, Oct. 26 from 9:00 A.M. until noon, the Rummage Sale offers a great opportunity to pick up needed items inexpensively. A fund raiser for the Jewish Women’s League of Pottstown, the Rummage Sale also provides a service to the community during these challenging economic times.
“This has been a very popular, well-attended event for many years. We always get a great crowd,” explains Janet Prince, event chairwoman. “We always have a vast selection of items for sale,” adds Prince, rattling off a list that includes garden equipment and candles, pots and pans, toys and games, blankets and towels, collectibles and vases, kitchen appliances and electronics, jewelry and accessories, table cloths and lamps, glass vases and holiday decorations, glasses and books, CDs, DVDs, and videotapes. “The clothing includes handsome men’s suits and ties, children’s items, women’s clothing, and even some furs,” she shares.

The synagogue is located in Pottstown at 575 North Keim Street. “We are hoping the community will come on over and help make this the most successful year ever. Who knows, you might even find a hidden treasure,” Prince says.
