Another Shooting Reported In Pottstown

POTTSTOWN, PA -- Another shooting occurred in Pottstown on Thursday night, according to media reports and authorities, marking the second such incident in the borough this week.

The shooting took place at around 8:30 p.m. on Chestnut Street, near Charlotte Street.

The Pottstown Mercury reports that several shots were fired in the area.

When police arrived, the individuals involved had fled the scene, according to the report. But a 22-year-old victim showed up at Pottstown Hospital soon after. He was treated for non life-threatening injuries to his legs.

It's not yet clear what led to the incident.

Another incident occurred on Lincoln Avenue near North Franklin Street on Tuesday night.

Both shootings are under investigation.
