Armed Robbery At 'Neighborhood Favorite' Pottstown Business

A beloved Pottstown business that has been in operation for 80 years was hit by an armed robbery last week.

POTTSTOWN, PA -- A beloved Pottstown business that has been in operation for 80 years was hit by an armed robbery last week.

Police said that the incident occurred on Thursday, Feb. 16 at Brunish's Grocery on Lincoln Avenue.

The suspect entered the store, pointed a gun at employees, and demanded money, police said.

He made off with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build, authoriteis said.

Described by locals as a "neighborhood favorite," the family-owned grocery store has been in business for several generations.
