This weekend, 20 cadets from Pottstown High School's AFJROTC program volunteered their
Friday night, from 6:30 - 11:00 PM, to help ensure the success of the annual
World War II Swing Dance. The event, held at Sunnybrook Ballroom, consists of
live big band music, WWII-era costumes and traditions, and lots of dancing. Our
cadets pitched in wherever needed to help bring about a top-notch event. Their
duties included set up, taking tickets, running the refreshment line, presenting
the Colors, assisting with door prizes, clean up......you name it, they did it,
and did it well. I was approached by several people, event organizers and guests
alike, who complimented our students on their behavior and attitude. They
represented our school exceptionally well.
