Car Smashes Into Pole In Front Of Sanatoga School

A car smashed into a pole in front of a local school overnight after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA — A car smashed into a pole in front of a local school overnight after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

The incident occurred on Monday, Oct. 7 at around 2:51 a.m. near the intersection of N. Pleasantview Road and Welsh Drive.

The 67-year-old driver, a Pottstown resident, hit a PECO utility pole at the Coventry Christian School.

The driver suffered minor injuries but refused medical care at the scene.

Lower Pottsgrove Police responded to the scene along with Sanatoga Fire Company and Goodwill Ambulance.
