Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate Pajamas to Children in Need
Students collected more than 45 pairs of pajamas for Scholastic's 10th Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool at Lancaster Labs in Leola recently donated more than 45 pairs of pajamas to Scholastic’s 10th Annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. Over the past month, students worked together to host the pajama drive and organize the donations for distribution to local children in need. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
Scholastic’s Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive is a philanthropic classroom program offered through Scholastic Book Clubs that aims to teach kids the value of giving and the power of reading. The annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive is the largest pajama drive in Pajama Program’s history. Since 2009, classrooms nationwide have collected and donated more than 730,000 pairs of new pajamas. Scholastic Book Clubs has more than matched those numbers by donating over 1 million new books directly to Pajama Program headquarters, where they are then distributed across the country.
