Chestnut Knoll At Home Recognizes “Caregiver of the Year"
Three employees were recently recognized as "Caregiver of the Year for 2018" for their outstanding service
Chestnut Knoll At Home in Gilbertsville provides services to seniors in the community who need a little assistance in their own home. Out of the 150 caregivers at Chestnut Knoll At Home, three of them were recently recognized as “Caregiver of the Year for 2018” for their outstanding service.
“They set examples for others and train others on how to provide the best possible care; they volunteer to cover shifts, even when it’s their day off; and they always have positive attitudes and smiles on their faces,” said Linda Detwiler, director of Chestnut Knoll At Home Services. “In the true sense, they are the caregivers of the year at being able to do this every day and finding enjoyment in it, and in those that they care for.”
Lauren Dragan, a recent high school graduate, has been with Chestnut Knoll At Home for one year. She is very excited about being a “Caregiver of the Year.” Dragan hopes to become a physical therapist. She has gained knowledge and real-life experiences that have prepared her for her future endeavors. Dragan has been chosen as our youngest “Caregiver of the Year” because of her willingness to work with all types of clients, and her kindness and caring towards her clients. She is a great example of the kind of caregiver who works for Chestnut Knoll At Home and pursues a career in health care.

Cuth chose to work for Chestnut Knoll At Home because she feels valued by the staff. She has been selected as a “Caregiver of the Year” because she is a skilled and flexible caregiver who is loved by her clients.
