Chestnut Knoll At Home Services celebrates 20-year milestone

Chestnut Knoll At Home Services marked its 20th anniversary of serving seniors in May.

The company began in 2003 to support seniors in the tri-county area who were not ready to move into a community setting but would benefit significantly from attentive, one-on-one assistance at home.

“For seniors, their homes are familiar and comfortable and rooted with a lifetime of memories. Our services allow seniors to stay at home, with supportive caregivers that help them maintain their independence and dignity and improve their quality of life,” Director of Chestnut Knoll At Home Services Linda Detwiler said.

Detwiler, a licensed practical nurse, has led Chestnut Knoll At Home Services since its inception. She is one of several employees with longstanding tenure.

Reflecting on her years of service, Detwiler said, “I appreciate the opportunity to have helped many families in the area over the past 20 years, as my goal was to give back to the community. I am also grateful to the home care staff, families and community; we would not be where we are today without their support.”

The company provides non-medical assistance to aging adults within the comforts of their homes through customized home care plans that range from temporary assistance to long-term care.

All caregivers are bonded and insured and are not subcontracted through third-party businesses. They undergo extensive screening to ensure seniors are matched with trustworthy and conscientious individuals to give their families peace of mind.
