Chestnut Knoll Honored 26 Employees for Dedicating 11 Years or More of Service to the Senior Community

BOYERTOWN, Pa., Oct. 31, 2017 – Satisfaction goes along way! Just ask the employees of Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care, and At Home Services. In appreciation of their dedication and hard work, Chestnut Knoll celebrated the annual President’s Club luncheon for 26 employees on Oct. 25 held at the Yellow House Hotel in Douglassville.

Recently, Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care, located in Boyertown celebrated 17 years of service to its residents and surrounding community on Sept. 18. Many employees celebrated their longevity within the senior living community that same evening. The President’s Club luncheon is an opportunity for Chestnut Knoll and At Home, to honor the groups’ continued dedication of exceptional service, from upper management roles, direct resident and client contact to meal preparation and dining services. Each person plays a vital role in the success of the senior living community, and home care services.

An employee’s longevity builds rapport among residents, clients, visitors, guests, and co-workers. The long-standing employees are a testament to the structure and organization of Chestnut Knoll and At Home. Consistency and stability within the senior community offers comfort to families knowing their loved ones are receiving the proper care they deserve.

In addition to recognizing her colleagues, Shawn Barndt, executive director, was recognized for her longevity and dedicated service to Chestnut Knoll. “It has been an honor for me to have been a part of Chestnut Knoll from the inception 17 years ago,” Barndt said. “It is also very humbling to be surrounded by such a great team of committed staff who have also been a part of many of those 17 years!

The President’s Club was created to honor Chestnut Knoll Personal Care, Memory Care, and At Home employees who have continued to dedicate themselves to the senior community for 11 or more years. Members of the club enjoyed the luncheon with Barndt and David Lovitz, managing partner of Heritage Senior Living, which is the management company of Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care, and At Home Services. Employees who reach 10 years of service receive a watch of their choice purchased at EG Landis Jeweler in Boyertown.

“It takes a caring staff who are dedicated to our residents, clients, family members, and greater community in order to be successful; I am proud to say that at Chestnut Knoll we are blessed to have that,” Barndt said. “The President’s club luncheon is just one small way to show our appreciation and thank those who have given so much of themselves in the best interest of others!”

Chestnut Knoll offers Personal Care and Memory Care residences at an affordable month-to-month basis with no buy-in fees.
