Andrew Harnish, PT, DPT, from Fox Rehabilitation, is now a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist.

Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care is pleased to announce that one of their therapists, Andrew Harnish, PT, DPT, from Fox Rehabilitation, is now a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist.

Dr. Harnish has been working at Chestnut Knoll since May 2014. He is a member of the Fox Optimal Living team and provides physical therapy to residents at Chestnut Knoll. He also treats patients in their homes throughout Boyertown and at Walnut Woods.

From January-December 2015, Dr. Harnish completed the Fox Geriatric Residency in Physical Therapy. In the past year, he conducted a study using residents at Chestnut Knoll for his capstone project for the Geriatric Clinical Specialist residency program through Fox Rehabilitation. He studied the residents at Chestnut Knoll who participate in the Fox Optimal Living program to see the effects that the program has done for their overall health. After completing his project and his residency, he was able to sit for the boards to become a Geriatric Certified Specialist (GCS).
