More Construction Planned On Route 422: Traffic, Timing, Delays

The congested roadway will see more reconstruction on a 2.1 mile stretch next week.

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — Lanes of the beleaguered Route 422 will be shut down next week as road reconstruction work gets underway.

Work will take place from Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17 between the Sanatoga and Hanover Street interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry townships.

The congested roadway will have a westbound lane closed from from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. each day. An eastbound. lane will be closed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m each day.

Backups and delays will occur, officials said, and extra time should be allowed for traveling.

The work is part of PennDOT's ongoing $83.6 million project to reconstruct around 2.1 miles of Route 422.
