DUI Suspect With Vodka Bottles In Car Nearly Hit Gas Pump In North Coventry Twp.: Police

A man police report had empty vodka bottles in his car was seen nearly hitting a Wawa gas pump in North Coventry Township.

NORTH COVENTRY TOWNSHIP, PA — A Douglasville man is charged with driving under the influence after Wawa patrons told police he was stumbling around the North Coventry Township store and driving erratically in the parking lot, nearly hitting a gas pump.

On Monday just before 11 p.m., North Coventry Township Police were alerted that an intoxicated man was in the store at 1417 S. Hanover St.

Witnesses told police they saw the man stumbling around while inside of the Wawa and when leaving, they said he was driving erratically in the parking lot, almost hitting a gas pump, according to the police report.

Police reported the driver continued across Rt. 100 and into the Suburbia Shopping Center where he was stopped by police officers.

Gregory Gunzenhauser, 38, has been charged in the incident with driving under the influence of alcohol and with other traffic offenses.

Officers reported they found several containers of vodka inside Guzenhauser's vehicle and smelled alcohol coming from him. Guzenhauser admitted to police that he had been drinking earlier.
