Pennies a Pound Airplane Ride Event

All eyes to the sky!  Bring your curiosities about airplanes, airports and flying to the Heritage Field Airport on May 19th (Saturday) and 20th (Sunday).

And don’t be don’t be confused by the name! Heritage Field is the new name for the former Pottstown Limerick Airport on Ridge Pike between Pottstown and Limerick.

The classic “Pennies-A-Pound” airplane rides will be offered to the public again by the “Ninety-Nines” , International Organization of Women Pilots. Many a child, teen and adult had their first ride in a small airplane thanks to this fun program, and many more have returned time and time again. (Pilots donate their time and cost of flying in return for your donation of just 15 cents per pound of your own weight to the 99s women in aviation scholarship fund.)
