1 Dead After Gunfire Erupts In Wyomissing Walmart Parking Lot

WYOMISSING, PA — One person was killed Saturday and another injured during a shooting in the parking lot of a Wyomissing Walmart, according to reports.

Shots were reported shortly before 4 p.m., the Reading Eagle reported. The store is located at Berkshire Boulevard and State Hill Road.

The two victims were found in separate areas of the parking lot, according to the Eagle. Berks County District Attorney John Adams told the newspaper the surviving victim didn't appear to have any gunshot wounds.

The shooter was reportedly taken into custody. The store was also placed on lockdown for a short time, reports said.
