Heritage Senior Living Welcomes New Regional Director of Operations

BLUE BELL, Pa., Oct. 26, 2017 – Heritage Senior Living is pleased to announce the hiring of Regional Director of Operations, Jonathan Barbieri.

In this position, Barbieri is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, developing and executing marketing plans, and personnel and financial management oversight. He will be supporting the teams at Chestnut Knoll Personal Care and Memory Care, Boyertown; Chestnut Knoll At Home, Gilbertsville and Arbour Square, Harleysville.

In this role, Barbieri offers support to Heritage on both new and existing business development initiatives, as well as upholding its mission, which is creating a culture of support and compassion, through interactions with residents, staff and families that are consistently positive and respectful.

Prior to joining Heritage, Barbieri most recently served as vice president and board member of Greenfield Senior Living, where he assisted in the growth of over 12 acquisitions in the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast; turnarounds and startups in home health, independent living and memory care. He has also served as, vice president of resident care, at Sunrise Senior Living. In this role, Barbieri advised businesses strategies, while working to drive excellence in care and services. His career spans more than 15 years in healthcare and business development related positions, including small private firms and Fortune 500 corporations.

Barbieri’s upbringing within a healthcare-centric and community-centered family drives him to serve the senior community. His career began in allied health services as an intensive-care nurse working with and caring for severely compromised adults. He uses the ICU methodology and applies it throughout his life in bringing care, services and solutions to seniors.

Barbieri holds a master certification in healthcare leadership from Cornell University. He received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of South Carolina and is a registered nurse in Pennsylvania. He has completed studies at Landmark Education; Leadership Academy, American Society on Aging; Cornell University’s College of Human Ecology; and over 350 hours of International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) focusing on healthcare related innovations.
