Tayja Jones posted what she thought was a nice picture of her in her prom dress. A stream of unkind comments made her take the photo down.

POTTSTOWN, PA -- A local girl is making waves across social media after a prom photo she posted was ridiculed.

But a series of negative, unkind comments on the photo led Jones to wish she had never posted the picture, Fox 29 reports.
"It was just really hurtful because I was so confident the day before and it just changed my view of myself," Jones told Fox 29.
Now, hordes of Internet supporters are coming to her aid across social media, and her situation has even gained the attention of a few celebrities.
Pop singer Kelly Rowland showed her support in a heartfelt message that had been shared more than 5,000 times as of Thursday afternoon.

Supporters across Twitter had a commong refrain: they hope Jones' case calls attention to broader issues of body shaming and the way teens judge their own self worth.
