K-9 Tracks, Takes Down Wanted Man In Montgomery County: Cops
After a lengthy search on foot led to a lockdown of a local school, a K-9 unit helped save the day.

A K-9 officer tracked and took down a suspect fleeing from police during a chase on Friday morning, according to police.
Talee Geiger, 31, had previously fled from police after allegedly being caught with marijuana and crack cocaine on his person on May 25, police said, eventually eluding capture. During that chase, an officer had been injured.
Lower Pottsgrove cops caught up with Geiger when he was in his vehicle at about 10:40 a.m. in the Rolling Hills development Friday morning.

Geiger again fled from his vehicle, running into some nearby woods on N. Pleasantview Road and Village Lane, police said. They pursued but lost sight of him.
Authorities from several nearby municipalities arrived and helped to set up a perimeter around the area. And that's when the K-9 stepped in.

The K-9, from the Pottstown Police Department, helped officers swiftly track Geiger to a creekbed near Greenbriar Court, police said.
When Geiger tried to run yet again, the K-9 was "deployed," according to cops, and took Geiger down.
The K-9 suffered a severe gash to his head after crashing through briar bushes in the line of duty, police said.
Geiger, meanwhile, sustained minor injuries due to a dog bite to his leg.
Coventry Christian Academy, which is nearby, was placed on lockdown during the search.
A Pennsylvania State Police helicopter was requested, but recalled once Geiger was caught.
