Lockdown At Pottstown HS Following Threat; All Clear Given

POTTSTOWN, PA — Pottstown High School was locked down on Wednesday following a social media post, the district said.

An investigation determined that there was no credible threat and the all clear was given.

According to the district, the social media post was traced to a dispute between students. School staff were made aware of the situation due to a tip.

Further details regarding the threat were not immediately available.

"As a result of the information shared with the staff, we were able to quickly address the concern and keep everyone safe," the district said in a statement Wednesday afternoon.. "Continued vigilance by students, staff, and community will help maintain a safe school environment. "
