Man Crushed Under Truck In Pottstown Thursday Night: Cops

A man was killed after he was pinned under his truck in Pottstown Thursday night, police said.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A man was killed after he was pinned under his truck in Pottstown Thursday night, Nov. 16, police said.

The incident occurred at the Rocket Car Wash on 225 W. High Street at around 6:15 p.m.

James Jacobs, 69, pulled into the car wash and got out to check for something under the driver's side of the truck, police said.

However, the truck was left in reverse, and Jacobs was dragged under the truck as it began to move backwards.

He was eventually pinned under the truck. The Montgomery County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at the scene.

Pottstown Police and Goodwill Ambulance also responded to the incident.
