Man Shot In Chester Co. Incident, Arrested In Pottstown

A man shot after an incident in Chester County was arrested in Pottstown Thursday, state police said.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A man who was shot in Chester County after threatening two people was arrested in Pottstown Thursday afternoon, state police said.

Scant details are available on the incident, which occurred on the 400 block of Trythall Road in Warwick Township.

The individual who was shot — referred to by state police as "the suspect" — drove a car to Trythall Road at around 12:15 p.m. He encountered two victims there, who he threatened to kill while brandishing a weapon.

One of those individuals then shot the suspect, state police said.

The suspect stole tools from the area and then fled the scene to Pottstown, where he was arrested shortly thereafter on Evans Street near Oak Street, authorities said.

This is a very short distance away from the shooting Wednesday night, which was on the 400 block of N. Evans and left one injured.

The suspect was taken into custody and treated at a nearby hospital for injuries.

The suspect was not identified by police, and further circumstances surrounding his threatening encounter in Wawrick were not made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
