Montco Man Found Dead On Schuylkill River Trail: State Police

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A missing Montgomery County man was found dead along the Schuylkill River Trail, state police said.

James Simpson, 55, of Perkiomenville, was found in Union Township in Berks County late Monday night.

It appears Simpson died of injuries suffered in a bicycling accident, according to a report in the Pottstown Mercury, citing a Berks County coroner's office source.

State police were alerted that Simpson had gone missing when he didn't return home from a ride on Monday.

No foul play is suspected but an investigation is ongoing.
