Montgomery County Man Killed In Crash

The victim of a fatal crash on Route 724 last week has been identified as a 24-year-old Montgomery County man, authorities said.

EAST GREENVILLE, PA — The victim of a fatal crash on Route 724 last week has been identified as a 24-year-old Montgomery County man, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred in Cumru Township in Berks County on Tuesday, Oct. 17 on Route 724 approaching Valley Stream Road, according to police.

WFMZ first reported that the victim was Matthew David Schultz, 24, of East Greenville.

Schultz, the driver, lost control of the vehicle sometime after 10 p.m. and hit a tree, police said. Cassandra Lee Rambo, 22, of Pottstown, the passenger, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Police said that speeding was the cause of the crash.
