Montgomery County School Increases Security After Bomb Threat: Cops
A rash of threats against educational institutions in the area has the school district on edge.

Pottsgrove High School was on edge Wednesday morning after discovering a bomb threat on social media, Lower Pottsgrove Police said.
The threat was made on Facebook on Monday morning and the situation has now been resolved, according to police.
“The threat was immediately addressed and the suspect was identified as a student who was NOT on location,” police said in the Facebook post.

Security was increased at the high school as the investigation went on throughout the day Wednesday. Classes were not canceled.
The added measures were taken “as a result of the anxiety created from this incident, in combination with the recent school violence across the country,” police said.

Although police acknowledged that rumors of threats have continued to filter through the school and the area and have heightened anxiety, they said at about 1 p.m. Wednesday that there are no credible threats at this point.
