A fire at a home in North Coventry last weekend was ruled accidental, officials said.

NORTH COVENTRY, PA — A fire at a home in North Coventry last weekend was ruled accidental, officials said.

The incident occurred on Sunday, Oct. 21 at around 12:52 p.m. on Evans Road.

Smoke and flames were discovered coming from the upper floors of the home when crews arrived on the scene.

The Norco Fire Company was the first on the scene, and they were shortly joined by companies from several nearby municipalities.

The fire was extinguished and the house was searched, but the residents were not home at the time of the fire.

The investigation, conducted by the North Coventry Township Fire Marshal and the Chester County Fire Marshal's Office, determined that the fire was accidental.

No injuries were reported.
