Pennsylvania Internet Revolution Coming to Montgomery County
A group fighting for the importance of high speed Internet is coming to Montgomery County.

POTTSTOWN, PA -- The Pennsylvania Gigabit Revolution initiative is inviting members of the public to a free public awareness meeting in Pottstown designed to raise understanding for the need for ultra-high-speed gigabit Internet in Montgomery County.
This public awareness meeting will be held Monday, April 18, at 1:30 p.m., at The Hill School on 860 Beech St., Pottstown.

GIG REV will present detailed engineering studies that outline design ideas and costs associated to become a gigabit community. GIG REV will also deliver an extensive Technology Action Plan to help each community optimize its broadband, technology and innovation infrastructures.
“We want to encourage members of the Pottstown community to explore the unlimited possibilities that gigabit Internet could bring to Montgomery County,” said Bernadette Reineberg, Director of Community Outreach & Special Projects, in a statement. “We also want to ensure this community has its champions who will advocate for Pottstown’s digital future.”

Meeting attendees will also receive names of key contacts for community leaders and ways to continue conversations about gigabit Internet readiness for businesses, schools and key community organizations.
