Pets Killed In Pottstown Fire
A fire damaged a Pottstown home Sunday, and reportedly killed two pets.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Two pets were killed in a Pottstown fire that heavily damaged a home on Sunday.
The incident occurred at around 1:16 p.m. on the 1400 block of Cherry Street, according to authorities.
Smoke was coming from the roof when firefighters arrived on the scene.

The fire was restricted to the kitchen and extinguished, authorities said. The fire heavily damaged the home, however.
According to the Pottstown Mercury, there were four animals inside of the home. Two escaped, while one dog and one cat were reportedly killed.

The cause of the fire is not yet clear.
