Pottstown Aims To Get Environmentally Friendly Streetlights
Pottstown is going green.

Pottstown officials are hoping to authorize a grant application for nearly $1 million to replace all of the borough’s street lights with LED lights, according to a report by the Pottstown Mercury.
LED lamps, short for light-emitting diodes, produce much more light with much less electricity, the report states.
Not only are LED lamps more environmentally friendly, but they also emit a higher quality light, according to the report.
