Pottstown Friendly's Under Fire After Mom Says Autistic Child Kicked Out For Crying

"People are looking at you. Your child is crying excessively. You have to leave."

Staff were reportedly less than friendly to Montgomery County mother and her 5-year-old autistic son at a Pottstown Friendly's, kicking out the boy when he started crying.

According to radio station WFMZ, Teri Lyn Jensen-Sellers was at the Friday's for lunch on Saturday when her son started crying.

The manager came over after a few minutes of crying and said "People are looking at you. Your child is crying excessively. You have to leave," the report states.

When Jensen-Sellers explained her son's autism and said that she just needed to get him to eat a little to relax, the manager kicked out the family, according to the report.

In a statement, Friendly's said they had reached out to Jensen-Sellers to address the issue, to "understand the details and resolve appropriately." Jensen-Sellers said she has not been contacted.
