Pottstown Hikes Parking Fees, Approves Smartphone Pay System
Drivers will be able to pay for parking via an app on their phone.

POTTSTOWN, PA — The borough of Pottstown approved several changes to their parking system at a recent borough council meeting.
The new ParkMobile system will allow drivers in the borough the option of paying for parking using a smartphone app.
Drivers will still be able to pay for parking at traditional kiosks, and will also be able to call an 800 number to pay via ParkMobile over the phone.

WFMZ reports that in addition to these proposed changes, the parking rate will be hiked from 35 cents an hour to 50 cents an hour.
The agreement with ParkMobile was unanimously approved the borough council.
