Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a hit and run suspect who fled the scene after striking a pedestrian in Pottstown.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a hit and run suspect who fled the scene after striking a pedestrian in Pottstown.

The incident occurred on Jan. 16 at around 6:07 p.m. near The Rickett's Center, which is located on 658 Beech Street in Pottstown.

A dark colored sedan, heading east, struck an individual in the road and then continued driving, police said.

Police noted that it's possible the driver did not realize a pedestrian had been struck.

Police are asking the driver of the vehicle to come forward, and are also asking for any witnesses who may have seen the accident or the vehicle in question to come forward as well.
