Pottstown Resident, OJR Senior, Wins Scholarship
The first annual scholarship is awarded to a student who has hearing loss.

POTTSTOWN, PA — A West Chester-based chapter of a national hearing loss organization is offering its first annual scholarship to a student with hearing loss. The scholarship is being provided by the Hearing Loss Association of America-Chester County Chapter (HLAA-Chester County).
This year's winner is Liana Gilleland, a Pottstown resident and senior at Owen J. Roberts High School. Gilleland wants to major in special education, according to the HLAA, and she will honored at the local chapter's Ice Cream Social on June 7 at Christ Community Church.
Gilleland will attend Montgomery County Community College in the fall.
